Simple DIY Fidgets You Can Make!

1. Fidget Spinner Made of Paper


Materials Needed:

- A piece of thick paper or cardboard

- Scissors

- A pencil

- A push pin or a small nail

- Markers or crayons for decorating


Instructions:

1. Draw Your Spinner: On the cardboard, draw a simple shape like a triangle or an arrow with a circle in the center.

2. Cut It Out: Carefully cut out the spinner shape.

3. Create the Center Hole: Use the pencil to poke a small hole in the center of the spinner.

4. Add the Push Pin: Push the pin through the center hole and press it into a flat surface (like a table) to make the spinner spin smoothly.

5. Decorate: Use markers or crayons to decorate your spinner.

 

2. Stress Ball


Materials Needed:

- Balloons (latex)

- Flour or rice

- A funnel (or a plastic bottle cut in half)

- A permanent marker (optional for decorating)


Instructions:

1. Prepare the Balloon: Stretch the balloon while holding it under warm water to make it easier to fill.

2. Fill the Balloon: Using a funnel, pour flour or rice into the balloon until it's full but still pliable. Make sure not to overfill.

3. Tie It Off: Pinch the opening and tie it securely.

4. Decorate: Use a permanent marker to draw a funny face or a design on the balloon.

 

3. Stress Putty


Materials Needed:

- 1 cup of flour

- 1/2 cup of water

- 1/2 cup of salt

- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil

- Food coloring (optional)

- Mixing bowl


Instructions:

1. Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and vegetable oil.

2. Add Water: Gradually add water into the mixture, stirring until you achieve a dough-like consistency.

3. Color It: If you want colored putty, mix in a few drops of food coloring.

4. Knead: Knead the mixture until it’s smooth and stretchy.

5. Store: Keep it in an airtight container when not in use.

 

4. Bottle Cap Fidgets


Materials Needed:

- Various bottle caps (plastic or metal)

- Markers or paint

- Small beads or buttons (optional)


Instructions:

1. Decorate the Caps: Use markers or paint to decorate each bottle cap with fun designs or colors.

2. Create a Fidget Toy: You can stack the bottle caps on a string or rubber band to create a fidget toy that can slide back and forth.

3. Add Texture: For extra fidget fun, glue small beads or buttons onto some caps to create varying textures.

 

5. Tactile Sensory Cards


Materials Needed:

- Index cards or thick paper

- Various materials (sandpaper, fabric swatches, foil, etc.)

- Glue


Instructions:

1. Select Materials: Gather different textures like soft fabric, smooth foil, rough sandpaper, etc.

2. Glue to Cards: Cut the materials and glue them onto the index cards in different sections.
